Promise Kept

Capturing the imposing size of the ruined church, it's texture, while at the same time, drawing in the viewer to view the paintings intimate scene.

I took a picture of this crumbling church, trying not to fall backward into the cematery, while on vacation in Ireland. The light, hitting the lone marker, created a spark in me that this scene needed to have a story told about it by creating a painting.
